Laser Facial in Salinas: What It Treats and What to Expect

If years of sun have left your skin with brown spots, redness, or an uneven, tired look, a laser facial is one of the more popular ways to even it out without resurfacing the skin. At Eunoia Medi Spa in Salinas, we use the GentleMax Pro®. Here is what it treats, how a series works, and what to expect afterward.

What is a laser facial?

A laser facial uses laser light to improve the color and texture of your skin. Ours is a non-ablative treatment, which means the laser works below the surface and the top layer of your skin stays intact. That is the main difference from more aggressive resurfacing, and it is why downtime is none to minimal.

The light is absorbed by pigment and by the tiny blood vessels behind visible redness, and it also stimulates your skin to produce collagen. Over a series of visits, that combination improves tone and texture.

What can it help with?

  • Brown spots and sun damage
  • Redness and small vascular irregularities
  • Uneven skin tone
  • General texture irregularities
  • Early signs of aging

It is a popular choice for patients who want ongoing skin maintenance rather than a one-time fix. If your main concern is redness or brown spots specifically, our pages on rosacea and redness treatment and brown spots and pigmentation explain those options in more detail.

Your two treatment options

Full face laser facial

This treats brown spots, redness, and general texture irregularities across the whole face. A session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Spot treatment

If you only want to address a few isolated brown spots, areas of sun damage, or vascular lesions, a spot treatment is quicker, about 15 to 20 minutes. You can see current prices on our treatment pricing page.

How many treatments will you need?

Most people do a series of 3 to 6 treatments. Improvement in tone and texture builds up over time, so the results from the later sessions add to the earlier ones. Your provider will recommend a number after looking at your skin and talking through your goals.

Recovery and aftercare

Because the surface of the skin stays intact, most people go straight back to their day. You may notice some mild redness for a short while. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every morning, avoid prolonged sun exposure while your skin heals, and follow the specific aftercare instructions your provider gives you.

Is a laser facial right for you?

It depends on your skin, your medications, and what you want to change. At your consultation, our physician-supervised team will look at your skin, ask about your health and any medications, and tell you honestly whether a laser facial or another treatment is the better fit. You can read more about the treatment on our laser facial page, or contact us to book a consultation at our Salinas location.
