Are You a Candidate?
Medical weight loss with GLP-1 medications is typically appropriate for adults who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- BMI of 27 or higher with at least one weight-related health condition (hypertension, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, sleep apnea)
- BMI of 30 or higher regardless of other health conditions
- Difficulty maintaining weight loss through diet and exercise alone
- Interest in a physician-supervised, medication-supported approach
Candidacy also depends on your current medications, medical history, and goals.
